Seventh annual ranking recognizes 330 leading inpatient rehabilitation facilities based on clinical quality, professional reputation and patient experience

NEW YORK, Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Newsweek, in partnership with Statista, today announced the 2026 ranking of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers, recognizing 330 leading inpatient rehabilitation facilities across the United States. Facilities earning the No. 1 ranking in their respective states include: Sutter Health, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Penn Medicine, Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital, NYU Langone Health, Encompass Health Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital and Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital.

Now in its seventh year, America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2026 is designed to help patients and their families identify leading rehabilitation facilities. This year’s ranking evaluates centers based on quality metrics, professional reputation, quality designations and patient experience.

The 2026 ranking recognizes 330 inpatient physical rehabilitation facilities across the country. Consideration was limited to freestanding rehabilitation hospitals and rehabilitation units within acute care hospitals. The 25 states with the most facilities according to CMS were ranked individually, while locations in the remaining states were grouped into four regions.
